WELCOME TO 4TH INTERNATIONAL RAILWAY FORUM 2025: “VISION FORWARD 2030: LEVERAGING AI TO ADVANCE RAILWAY CONNECTIVITY AND NEW ENERGY TRANSFORMATION"
The Universiti Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI) is pleased to welcome you to the 4th International Railway Forum 2025, themed “Vision Forward 2030: Leveraging AI to Advance Railway Connectivity and New Energy Transformation.”
This event is organised by Universiti Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI) and co-hosted by the Malaysia Rail Industry Corporation (MARIC). We are honoured and privileged to organise this prestigious forum.
Through this forum, we aim to bring together academia, industry partners, government representatives, and rail experts to share their knowledge, experience, and insights on the advancement of the railway sector. The discussions will focus on the following key areas:
• Leveraging AI to Advance Railway Connectivity
• New Energy Transformation and Sustainable Mobility
The overall objective of the 4th International Railway Forum 2025 is to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new energy technologies can revolutionise railway systems, enhance connectivity, and accelerate the transformation towards a sustainable rail network in Malaysia and beyond.
As part of this initiative, the forum serves to strengthen industry–university collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and foster partnerships that contribute to human capital development in railway technology. It also provides a platform for dialogue and cooperation that will support Malaysia’s ambition to become a regional leader in smart, energy-efficient, and future-ready railway development.
We look forward to coming together, sharing experiences, learning from each other, and working collectively to drive forward innovation, sustainability, and growth in the railway industry.
THE HOST
Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is Malaysia’s leading university in engineering technology, strategically located in the heart of the nation’s capital and commercial centre. The Malaysia Rail Industry Corporation (MARIC) was established as an incorporated association in 2017 with the mission of contributing to the development of Malaysia’s railway systems engineering sector. MARIC’s membership is open to all companies operating in Malaysia that have a local office and are involved in railway systems engineering and related works.
