Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) recently commemorated the accomplishments of 695 preparatory students who successfully completed their foundation studies, which took place on October 14th.

Furthermore, an additional 107 foundation students are anticipated to wrap up their programmes in November 2023, potentially culminating in a total of 802 graduates from the preparatory programme at UniKL.

According to the Acting President and Deputy President (International, Industrial & Institutional Partnership) of UniKL, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, of the total number of graduates, 53 students have already enrolled and are actively pursuing their Bachelor’s degrees as part of UniKL’s July 2023 intake.

Meanwhile, 567 students are preparing to embark on their academic journey as part of the October 2023 intake.

“UniKL boasts extensive experience in delivering Foundation Programmes at the international level through collaborations with universities in France, Russia, Spain, and Korea. Notably, the ‘Foundation in Engineering’ and ‘Science Political and Business Management’ programmes represent the first international preparatory programmes to be conducted at UniKL in partnership with IUT Nice University.

“The provision of UniKL’s Foundation Programme also serves as a gateway to Bachelor’s Degree programmes at international universities. These initiatives are regarded as vital opportunities to secure the sustainability of UniKL,” he emphasised in his address at the UniKL Foundation Appreciation And Certificate Presentation Ceremony (ACPC) 2023.

The event was also graced by the presence of UniKL Deputy President (Academic & Technology), Prof. Dr. Kushsairy Abdul Kadir, and Director of UniKL Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS), Nor Zunaini Abd Kadir.

These accomplished students represent various institutions under the UniKL umbrella, including UniKL Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI), UniKL Business School (UBIS), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT), UniKL Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET) and UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP).

As of September 2023, a total of 1,864 students have successfully continued their education at foreign universities after completing the Pre-Foreign Foundation Programme at UniKL.
