Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Italy Design Institute (UniKL MIDI) added a unique twist to its Eid celebration by hosting the event at the Asia Rail Centre’s facilities, featuring the train workshop and model.
In addition to the Eid celebration, the event also featured Club Registration Day at the campus, which brought together students, faculty members, and club representatives.
These facilities were creatively repurposed to support the event’s objectives, highlighting the railway course offered at UniKL MIDI, which remains relatively unknown among the student body.
The train workshop was transformed into a club registration zone, while the train model served as an eye-catching photobooth area.

According to UniKL MIDI, students enthusiastically took photos at the photobooth and shared them on social media, effectively raising awareness about the railway course among their peers and online communities.
The event was graced by the presence of the Dean of UniKL MIDI, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Zaid bin Abu Yazid, whose support emphasised the campus’ dedication to holistic student development.

“Overall, the event successfully blended cultural elements, technological innovation, and student-driven energy, creating an atmosphere that truly reflected the vibrant spirit of UniKL MIDI.
“It not only promoted student engagement but also nurtured leadership, collaboration, and a sense of belonging within the campus,” said the campus.
