Course Information

All courses are conducted in English Language (except for certain courses, please check with the campus coordinator)

           Maximum number of credits per semester; 18 credits (equivalent to 30 ECTS per semester)

           Postgraduate Program

           15 credits (equivalent to 25 ECTS credits per semester)

What is ECTS?

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a tool of the European Higher Education Area for making studies and courses more transparent. It helps students to move between countries and to have their academic qualifications and study periods abroad recognised.

ECTS allows credits taken at one higher education institution to be counted towards a qualification studied for at another. ECTS credits represent learning based on defined learning outcomes and their associated workload.

Petronas Towers and Suria KLCC

The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers, are twin scrapers in Kuala Lumpur. According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)’s official definition and ranking, Petronas Towers were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004. Petronas Towers remain the tallest twin towers in the world. Suria KLCC is a 140,000 m2 (1,500,000 sq ft) upmarket retail center at the feet of the Petronas Towers. It features mostly foreign luxury goods and high-street labels. Its attractions include an art gallery, an underwater aquarium and also a Science center. Boasting approximately 300 stores, Suria KLCC is touted as one of the largest shopping malls in Malaysia.[30] The Petronas Philharmonic Hall, also built at the base of the towers, is frequently associated with Suria KLCC’s floorspace.

KL Tower

KL Tower or also known as Menara Kuala Lumpur, the tallest Telecommunication Tower in South East Asia & the 7th tallest in the world, was built to improve the quality of telecommunications and broadcasting transmissions. It has become a significant landmark and symbol that identifies Malaysia as a great tourist destination of the millennium and at the same time a testimony of Malaysia’s capability in the building of high technology facilities. Located atop Bukit Nanas at a breathtaking height of 421 meters, KL Tower was built blending the tower seamlessly with nature.

KL Forest Eco Park

Bukit Nanas is one of the oldest permanent forest reserves in Malaysia. It was gazette in 1906 and was formerly known as Bucket Weld Forest Reserve. Covering an area of approximately 9.37 hectares, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is the only remaining virgin tropical rainforest in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. To preserve the natural surroundings and its habitat, the design and construction of the adjacent Menara Kuala Lumpur were carried out with utmost care and consideration
